Lidless glass mason jar for conserving vegetables and fruit, making jams, chutneys, etc. A vacuum will develop during the process, sucking the lid inwards somewhat. This helps you see whether preserving succeeded. The extra strong glass can be sterilised in a hot oven and subjected to hot liquids. The lid is available separately.
